DO I HAVE TO BE A MEMBER TO PARTICIPATE?

Be our guest! Join the fun! The club wants guests to attend three rallies (or twoDo I have to be a member to participate? rallies and a luncheon) before becoming a member. After you have experienced the fellowship of the club, you have to “ask” to be a member. That’s where the fun begins, the Pledging for membership.

WHAT IS A WAGON MASTER?

Wagon Masters are the club members that organize and host the monthly rally. Generally, each Rally has at least two families that serve as Wagon Masters. The rally process begins with the Wagon Master host. They decide on the location and make arrangements for the group with the campground. The host organizes the meals and coordinates activities. They serve as the contact for any questions regarding the rally.  Being a Wagon Master takes effort and each member is encouraged to participate annually with one rally.

WHAT IS PLEDGING FOR MEMBERSHIP?

Pledging is one of our favorite activities! It occurs when prospective members have joined the club for three events and have decided they want to become members. They plead their membership to the club, and this is when we encourage them to be creative in their request. Singing, skits, poems, games and food bribes are just some of the examples of previous pleadings. The club wants to be entertained.

DOES IT COST TO BE A MEMBER?

There is a one time registration fee of $20. Annual dues are $25. A rally fee is paid, by those attending, to the wagonmaster for the rallies that have community meals. Single $5; couple $10; families of four and under $15; and families over five members $20. This helps cover the cost of the main entrée. Members also contribute with side dishes for community meals.
